What is a tail lift delivery?

A tail lift delivery uses a hydraulic platform fitted to the back of the vehicle, allowing the driver to raise and lower heavy or palletised goods between ground level and the load bed. It’s ideal when there’s no forklift on site.

Do I need a forklift or loading bay?

No – that’s the benefit of a tail lift. As long as the ground is reasonably flat and there’s enough space at the kerbside, we can usually load and unload using a pallet truck and the tail lift.

How much weight can you move on a tail lift?

It depends on the vehicle, but typically up to 1,000kg per pallet on a Luton tail lift, and more on larger trucks. Tell us your approximate weights and we’ll advise the safest option.

Can I book as an individual, or is this only for businesses?
